PBMI'S NEWS BRIEFS
PBMI Reports Win Awards
Two of PBMI's research reports have won awards. The Society for Technical
Communication (STC) judges publications on 42 different criteria including
content and organization, copy editing, visual design, and effectiveness.
PBMI's 2002 Prescription Drug Benefit Cost and Plan Design Report received
two awards from the Chicago STC chapter. The Distinguished Technical
Communication Award is the highest possible award in the Technical
Communications category. The second award, Best of Show, is the highest possible
award in the competition. Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc. sponsored
the report.
The STC Atlanta chapter has recognized PBMI's 2002 Patient Satisfaction
Survey of Prescription Drug Benefits Programs Report with an Award of Excellence
in its Printed Communications Competition. The report, developed under the
auspices of the Center for Pharmaceutical Care Research and Education of The
Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, was sponsored by Fujisawa
Healthcare, Inc. Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Otsuka America
Pharmaceutical, Inc.

Survey Respondents Win Passes
Representatives from Carpenters' Benefits Offices, City of Toledo, Corning
Inc., have each won a complimentary three-day pass to PBMI's Prescription Drug
Utilization Management Conference. They were selected in a random drawing.
Survey participants who complete a survey for PBMI's annual reports are
automatically entered into the drawing for complimentary conference admission.
