Albert Thigpen, President and Chief Operating Officer

Albert Thigpen is well-known throughout the healthcare industry, a proven thought leader with 20+ years of experience within pharmacy benefit management, retail pharmacy, integrated delivery models and traditional managed care organizations. As President and CEO, Albert enhances PBM and pharmacy operations, leveraging experienced people and actionable technology in innovative ways to better serve and empower plan members to make informed decisions and take charge of their health. He focuses on the development of disruptive and differentiated products and services at CastiaRx.

Michelle Leibow, Director Product Development

Michelle has more than 20 years of experience helping specialty pharmacies, health plans, pharma, and employers deliver on their vision of a better healthcare experience.  As the Director of Product Development for AllianceRx Walgreens Prime, Ms. Leibow is responsible for the value proposition, strategy, and development of new products and services for the combined specialty enterprise.  She is focused on helping AllianceRx Walgreens Prime health plan, employer, broker, and pharma customers manage their growing health costs and provide total patient and provider health engagement and affect outcomes and trend through specialty pharmacy management and partnership.

Linda Davis, Consultant

Linda is an independent healthcare consultant with 25+ years working with employers, coalitions, providers, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and health information technology vendors across the U.S.  With education in nursing (BSN, University of MN) she progressed from nursing to managed care, and then to consulting.  She has worked for a variety of large and small organizations, public and private, mature and start-ups, in multiple healthcare segments, nationally and in Minnesota.  Her focus has been strategic development of leading-edge programs, services, and products to transform care delivery and payment.  One of her current clients is the MN Health Action Group where she leads their Specialty Drug Guiding Coalition.

Bithia Anderson, PharmD, MPA, Assistant Director
PRIME Institute, University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy

Dr. Anderson serves as the Assistant Director of PRIME Institute at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy.  Her work includes managing, directing, and conducting scientific and public policy investigations or experiments related to pharmaceuticals.  The primary focal point of her work and research concerns the interface between pharmacists, pharmaceutical products and services, payers, providers, public policy makers, patients, pharmaceutical firms, and others.  Dr. Anderson has been an adviser to the Minnesota Heath Action Group on their Specialty Drug Guiding Coalition.

John X. Toth, RPh, BS Pharm, Manager Pharmacy Program Development
Yale Health

John is currently the Manager, Pharmacy Program Development at Yale Health. John serves as the lead on all aspects related to pharmacy business development. He oversees automation and technology, and is involved with operational, formulary, and clinical programming that relate to current and future business needs and pharmacy benefit design. John participates on several key Yale Health committees, including Quality Assurance and Claims Committee, and serves as the YH/pharmacy benefit account manager.

Stephen Lott, PharmD, MS, Clinical Pharmacist Specialist
University of Michigan Prescription Drug Plan

Dr. Stephen Lott is a certified specialty pharmacist with the University of Michigan Prescription Drug Plan. In his current role, he is responsible for the management and oversight of specialty pharmacy utilization across the University’s population. He also serves as the Residency Program Director of the plan’s Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) pharmacy residency program, and is an adjunct clinical instructor for the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy.

Steve Avey, MS, FAMCP, Vice President Enterprise Specialty Clinical Solutions

Mr. Avey has been in managed care pharmacy for 28 years.  As Vice President of Enterprise Specialty Clinical Solutions, he leads the Specialty Drug Program for MedImpact.  Previous positions include Executive Director of the Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy in Alexandria, VA for 5 years. During that time, they were able to change the assessment process of new drug evaluations in the United States through the creation and adoption of the AMCP Format for Formulary Submissions (known as the dossier). He has also worked for various PBMs and one health plan, Regence BCBS in Portland, OR.

Susan Trieu, PharmD, Director Enterprise Specialty Clinical Solutions
MedImpact Health Systems

As Director of Enterprise Specialty Clinical Solutions for MedImpact, Ms. Trieu is responsible for clinical aspects of the MedImpact Specialty Programs. She previously led surveillance and strategy for pipeline compounds for the Emerging Therapeutics Strategy Team at MedImpact. In that role she tracked pipeline agents in development, developed budget impact models for high-interest pipeline agents and new drugs, and for provided clinical strategy for pipeline agents and recently approved drugs. Prior to joining MedImpact she spent 10 years working for various large pharmaceutical companies in Medical Affairs.

Meghan Pasicznyk, PharmD, MBA, Senior Director Specialty Market Development
Express Scripts

Meghan Pasicznyk is Sr. Director of Specialty Market Development for Accredo, the Express Scripts specialty pharmacy. She and her team develop new solutions and programs designed to help payers reduce specialty drug spend and improve patient outcomes. Meghan also has previous experience in payer Account Management at Accredo and managing B2B relationships at a large pharmaceutical manufacturer. She has a PharmD and MBA from Butler University.

Cheryl Larson, President and CEO
Midwest Business Group on Health

Cheryl Larson is the President and CEO of the Midwest Business Group on Health, a non-profit organization of over 130 mid to jumbo, self-funded, regional and multi-state, public and private employers. She oversees all coalition activities including advocacy, membership, administration, research projects, and education activities, working closely with MBGH's employer-led Board of Directors to establish the strategic direction of the coalition.

Christine Anderson, Vice President of Specialty Products

Christine currently provides strategic oversight and leadership to the EnvisionRxOptions SpecialtyCare program and all client facing functions as they relate to the management of specialty medication trend. She has over 18 years of experience in the pharmacy industry where she has focused on the specialty patient care experience through innovative clinical programs and the ability to report on outcomes data to payers, physicians and our manufacturer partners.
