The Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute provides research, education, and publication services to help health care benefit executives work with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and other pharmacy professionals to design prescription drug benefit programs. PBMI provides a forum for health care purchasers to exchange ideas, advance best practices, and drive marketplace changes that improve pharmacy benefits and control costs.

Program Finalized for 2009 Conference
PBMI’s 2009 Drug Benefit Conference focuses on helping employers and other payers tackle market forces that impact drug benefit ROI.Drug benefit decisions can significantly increase or decrease other health benefit costs, including medical, dental, disability and workers’ compensation. Online Training in PBMI Pipeline
PBMI has formed an alliance with Kaplan EduNeering, a subsidiary of The Washington Post Company (NYSE: WPO), to launch new online training modules on drug benefit management. Demos of the online modules will debut at the 2009 PBMI Drug Benefit Conference, March 4-6 in Phoenix.
